The service has three main applications:

Templated products
Portako Web-to-Print allows you to go online and edit templated items such as booklets, leaflets, newsletters, binders, invitations, postcards, delegate packs, or policy reports. You then simply hit ‘Print’ for the item to automatically sent to press and delivered direct to your office, venue or distributor.

You decide which areas of each template are fixed and which can be edited. Approved users can then tailor the item with text and images to suit the requirements of different audiences, or to produce different editions of the same newsletter or event brand. Then, once you have approved the copy, the item is sent direct to print. All the time you are protecting your association or event brand by ensuring it is always consistently presented and applied across all your marketing and communications collateral.

Another classic simple use of this technology is the printing and distribution of business cards. This time consuming job can now be carried out online with authorised users typing in variable details such as name, job title, mobile number, etc, and self-proofing in real time. A structure can also be built in to allow nominated approvers within your organisation to sanction the cards before they go to press.

Once set up, a template can be used indefinitely or updated when required. Repeated artwork development and typesetting are no longer necessary, hence saving you time and money, whilst you retain total control over your brand’s identity.

Stock items
You can populate the Portako Web-to-Print system with pre-printed jobs such as brochures, promotional items – anything you like, in fact. Then authorised users can instruct the system to withdraw items from stock whenever they are needed. Stock records are updated in real time.
